Jamie Carragher did a cheeky excavation in the coach of Arsenal’s play, Nicolas Jover, after revealing that the Gunners have turned out to be deadly ball situations this season.
Jover won praise throughout the 2024-2025 campaign for Arsenal’s remarkable success with the sets.
Arsenal scored his 16th goal of the Premier League season on Wednesday evening, while Jakub Kiwior put the hosts with a third minute head in a free kick at the Emirates.
The Gunners, however, were torn off when Ebelechi Eze de Crystal Palace was not marked in a corner on the edge of the box, the midfielder producing a superb volley to level the score.
Arsenal was finally held at a point after a 2-2 draw with a superb late level of Jean-Philippe Mateta canceling the goal of Leandro Trossard just before half-time.
After the match, Carragher stressed that Arsenal conceded the second highest percentage of goals when turns in the elite this season, only Man United that turns out to be more porous.

Ebelechi Eze pulled the level of Crystal Palace from a corner in the first half, and Carragher thinks that the defense of Arsenal against the sets has become a “ big problem ”
Carragher chose to have a cheeky excavation during the set by Arsenal Jover, whose success was honored with a mural by supporters earlier this season.
“In terms of percentage, only Man United is worse than the Arsenal game this season. So when we make a big problem on the coach of the play … He is absolutely out of this world in terms of going to the future, but they have a big problem defensively.
“So should we cut his salary in two?” Do they need a defensive coach?
“This is one of the stories of the season and rightly so. It’s amazing. You have the impression that they will score a goal of a set of set in each match, or get closer to the brand.
“Of course, he had a huge impact, but it’s funny that they themselves have huge problems.
Carragher is not the first Sky Sports expert to have highlighted Jover this season, Gary Neville before labeled the most boring `Mec of football ” because of his animated presence on the sideline during the sets.
His remark occurred during the 2-0 arsenal victory by overlapping on Manchester United in December, when the two goals of the Gunners came from turns.
However, Carragher defended Jover at the time, saying that he was earning every penny with his salary with his expertise in play.

Neville’s comments occurred after Arsenal scored twice in the corners in their victory over Man United
Speaking of Jover, Carragher said to Neville, “I’m going to tell you what, give him what he wants.
“If you were this moving coach for Arsenal, you could write your own contract, couldn’t you?” You couldn’t get rid of him.
“You know, if he said,” I want 25 large per week “, you should give it, right?
After launching the advance twice on Wednesday, Arsenal has now lost 18 points from the position victory this season.
They sit at 12 points behind Liverpool leaders, who need a draw against Tottenham on Sunday to seal their 20th League title.
