Jamie Carragher believes that Nottingham Forest will miss the qualification in the Champions League after their overwhelming defeat by Brentford.
The former Liverpool defender believes that the last place will be disputed by Aston Villa and Chelsea, while Manchester City and Newcastle will easily progress.
Indeed, Carragher supported City and the Magpies to finish before Arsenal, which remains in the competition and goes to Paris in the semi-final in the second stage next week.
“I still think Newcastle and Manchester City can actually catch Arsenal,” he said on Sky Sports. “Just with the situation that Arsenal has in the Champions League, Bournemouth at home will not be easy, then they go to Anfield, they must also play in Newcastle. It’s a brilliant race.
“Aston Villa must win in the next two games to give itself a chance to fight.”
