Jamie Carragher criticized Tottenham following their defeat against Nottingham Forest when he said that Ange Postcoglou’s team looks like a defensively “academy” team.
Tottenham, who is in 16th place in the Premier League table but which is protected from relegation, was 2-0 after 16 minutes at home at Forest, with Elliott Anderson and Chris Wood Scring.
Although Richarlison recovered a late goal, it was another frustrating night for Tottenham, who suffered 18 defeats in the Premier League this season.
Carragher said Tottenham was “so naive” with regard to the way they play defensively.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said: “Spurs are so naive, like an academy sometimes how they occur defensively.
The boss of the goal Will, who was a guest on Monday evening, football, distinguished Tottenham defender Micky Van de Ven, to criticize Wood’s goal.

Carragher struck Tottenham, describing them as a “academic” team defensively
I have always said, “You can see that Van de Ven had the contact with Chris Wood, then he just lets him have two, three meters of space. You know that when you give Chris Wood this time and space in the box with this quality of delivery, he will mark.
Carragher added that the Tottenham Guglielmo Vicario goalkeeper is considered vulnerable when the ball enters the box.
Carragher said: “They believe it is a huge weakness for Tottenham. The goalkeeper is not great. He’s not great on the first, he’s not great either. He’s never great with the ball in the box. It is certainly something that they identified that it is a weakness for Tottenham Hotspur.
Postcoglou has often said that he thought that his team had performed well but had been disappointed by a few errors, but Carragher says he is concerned about such an approach.
Carragher expressed his conviction that Postcoglou should see Tottenham’s actions out of the ball as the same importance as the way they operate in possession.
He said: “ I think that when you listen to managers, you feel like you have the same interview because he talks about the same problems, but it’s his work to repair them.
“We should not forget that they are in bad shape – they lost last week at Wolves 4-2. The concern for me a little if I was a supporter of the Spurs, the manager talks about us playing good football, we dropped with some mistakes.
“At the end of last week in Wolves, after the match, he said they had played well. It would worry me a little. It would tell me that the only objective of a manager, not a single one, but a great thing for him is how his team plays with the ball. If they play well with the ball, he will feel that his team has played well.

Carragher also expressed his frustration with the Angel Postcoglou approach to the game
“He will put this this evening to a few mistakes. You cannot say that you have played Wolves well if you lose 4-2. Football is on the ball and without the ball and if you have played well, it means that you have done well in both categories and it never really happens with Tottenham. We highlighted before the problems they have on the defensive and in 16 minutes, they are beaten 2-0.
Although this is a miserable campaign for Tottenham in the Premier League, they always have a chance of glory in the Europa League and will face Bodo / Glimt in the semi-finals of this competition.
