The Gunners presented a brilliant exhibition on Tuesday against a real exterior, with two free kicks of sensational declan rice and a third strike from Mikel Merino guaranteeing victory.
Rice took the applause, but several arsenal stars, including Lewis-Skelly, shone at the Emirates.

Carragher praised Lewis-Skelly as “spectacular” and “one of the best players on the Arsenal team”
“You are talking about full back and you somehow think of Liverpool with Trent, they are a little different,” said Liverpool legend on CBS Sports Golazo after the match.
“They are not a full back normal and you have just mentioned what a full back would be. Normally, in a big club, when a young player passes, the simplest position to pass is probably full.
“You (pointing to Micah Richards) did it (at Man City), I did it (in Liverpool). You go to the game. I’m not saying it’s an easy position, but you don’t need to be spectacular if you wish.
“But it is spectacular on the left back and it looks like one of the best players from the Arsenal team.
“He goes to the central midfielder and receives the ball in the U-turn. He has Mbappe and Vinicius Jnr on each side of him, he assumes responsibility.
The form of Lewis-Skelly was so impressive that he obtained his first call to the England team of Thomas Tuchel last month.
The rear, which was originally a midfielder in his days, started the two games of the last international break and even scored only 20 minutes after its beginnings against Albania.
And Carragher began to highlight the mentality of Lewis-Skelly and compared it to a former large England which he lived in his own career and a current star in Bellingham.

Liverpool legend also said Lewis-Skelly reminds him of the real Jude Bellingham star
“This is where I go back to the arrogance of football,” he added. “And it’s not a question of position, it reminds me a bit of Jude Bellingham at this age and Rooney.
“When Wayne Rooney came for the first time in the England team, it was almost as if I was the best player, give me the ball, not for fear, you take the ball in difficult situations.
“When we were young players, it was as if you wanted to get your first pass, don’t give the ball just to join a game.
“But he has this thing as if he was 26 years old and has played all his life and he is very, very special.”
Arsenal returned to action on Saturday when they face Brentford in the Premier League before facing Real during the quarter -final return match at Bernabeu next Wednesday.
