- Jamie Carragher and Craig Bellamy think that Chelsea will end in front of the top five
- Carragher thinks that Aston Villa will also not be part but Bellamy did not agree
- Listen now: everything is launched! Should Phil Foden miss the club World Cup this summer to rest?
Jamie Carragher and Craig Bellamy both imagined Newcastle United to qualify for the Champions League next season.
A top-five in the Premier League will probably be enough to reserve a place in the best competition in Europe in the next quarter and Newcastle went in fifth place on Monday evening by continuing to a 3-0 victory in Leicester.
Speaking on Sky Sports after this match, the experts Jamie Carragher and Craig Bellamy were put on the spot and asked to predict which teams they expect to pilot the flag of England in the next edition of the Champions League.
The two former players switched to Chelsea to miss the top five, despite the men of Enzo Maresca currently in fourth position, when it was mutually supposed that Liverpool and Arsenal would qualify.
Aston Villa is seventh right now but – with Arsenal, second, still in the Champions League of this season.
Carragher predicted that Villa “would miss”, but Bellamy supported them to finish in the top five, the Welshman also suggesting that the men of Unai Emery could even obtain qualifications by becoming European champions this season.
Jamie Carragher has taken a tour of Aston Villa to miss a place in the Champions League for next season

But Bellamy fantasy of Villa to finish in the best five of the Premier League – or even conquer Europe!

Experts made their predictions after watching Newcastle win 3-0 in Leicester on Monday
Bellamy said: “ Newcastle from what we saw tonight and the momentum to win a first cup in many years, I have a feeling with Newcastle.
“Man City is generally looking for leagues, so it is not uncommon for them to be in this pressure stage.
“And villa, I have a funny feeling with Aston Villa and the Champions League you know. I felt it in September, the manager’s experience at this level, they are organized and have powerful options. I felt that all the British teams, Aston Villa is the one to watch in this tournament.
“Would we all like to see the forest?” Who wouldn’t do it? I grew up in the 1980s with Brian Cloud, they are a special club because of this man. It would be a great story, but my feeling is towards Newcastle, Man City and Aston Villa.
Carragher added: “ Looking at the lighting and Newcastle has a game in hand, I think Nottingham Forest will do it, I think Chelsea will miss because they have the most difficult lights.
“Newcastle will do it and I think Man City will do it as well. These last four games, you expect Man City to win the four, even with the problems they have had this season. I think Aston Villa will just miss.
