The Director General of Jaguars, James Gladstone, made sure that his first project in his current job was memorable.
Gladstone exchanged a second round choice and the first round of next year at the Browns to select the Coin Half / Large Receiver Travis Hunter with the second overall choice Thursday evening. After making the choice, Gladstone said that it was an opportunity to show that the jaguars would make “daring” movements while they would continue a super bowl and that he reiterated at a Friday press conference with Hunter in Jacksonville that the team wanted to make a statement with the selection.
“Really what comes to my mind, thinking about football sport and really the power of the game itself – its ability to trigger belief,” said Gladstone. “Believing in ourselves, belief in others, belief in achieving what many can judge impossible. Travis Hunter, he embodies belief. He is a rare person, he is a rare player, but he is also a reminder that the limits of the football game were built to be disputed. Field to the City to the football game itself, Travis Hunter is who we hunted. »»
There is no doubt about the condemnation of the Jaguars to Hunter and they will now work to ensure that he is up to these expectations on the ground.
