James Corden vented his frustration to airport staff on Sunday, but onlookers insist the temperamental TV presenter was only expressing his opinion after enduring a nightmare flight.
Corden, 45, was accompanied by other passengers after landing in Lisbon, where he was seen confronting a British Airways employee during a turbulent journey to the UK from Faro, in the south-east from Portugal.
But passengers on the flight say he was speaking for them all after the plane was forced to make an emergency stop in the Portuguese city due to a technical problem.
It appears the plane struggled to gain altitude as soon as it left the Algarve and circled for 45 minutes, never reaching altitude before announcing an emergency landing.
Vanessa, who was on the same flight with her mother and husband, told Metro of the mid-flight ordeal: “It was something like, ‘Gather your things together as best you can, take off your shoes and when you » If asked by aircraft personnel, please assume the brace position and when we land if you can, please find the nearest emergency exit and exit the aircraft.

“Basically what happened was that the wing flaps of the plane, which are supposed to go down when you’re in the air, didn’t come down, meaning they couldn’t not raise them upon landing.”
The passengers were eventually informed that they would no longer have to take the backup position, but spent three hours on the Lisbon tarmac before the plane was finally taken out of service.
And Vanessa claims Corden – who once fell out with a New York restaurateur over his alleged treatment of waiters – entertained passengers by posing for selfies as they flew back to the UK.
“He would walk up and down the aisles talking to people and let everyone take a selfie with him,” she said.
“I made a joke and said, ‘Oh, so we’re all going to die.’ Can you tell us how the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special ends? and he said “Do you really want to know?” and I said, “Yeah.” He replied, “I can’t tell you.”
“Then he said, ‘but you want to know what happened on the fishing trip?’ and I was like “Yes! I do!” and he said to me, “I can’t tell you either.”‘
Vanessa confirmed the presenter confronted a member of staff after passengers left the plane in Lisbon, but only because they were directed into the wrong queue.
“So BA finally let us off the plane,” she recalls. “We are in the terminal and there were no BA staff members. And they put us in immigration queues. And there was just no one there to tell us what was going on.

According to Vanessa, the presenter was upset because passengers had been directed to the wrong queue, including families with young children.
She said: “James was a club driver and he would stand there and say, ‘What about all these people who have all these children with them?’ It’s like saying it’s not acceptable. It’s not acceptable. not true.’
The passengers eventually received a flight to London at 9:30 a.m. the next morning and Corden found himself “in the same queue as everyone else, doing the same things as everyone else.”

Ricky Gervais also criticized Corden after the host used one of his stand-up jokes from 2018 during a Late Show monologue.
Gervais tweeted a clip from Corden’s show in which the host jokes about Twitter users getting angry over a poster in a town square about guitar lessons.
But Corden’s joke directly repeats Gervais’ gag from his 2018 Netflix stand-up comedy gig, Ricky Gervais: Humanity.
Gervais, retweeting a clip of Corden repeating his joke, said in a since-deleted tweet: “The part about advertising the town square for guitar lessons is awesome.”
The comedian said he deleted the original tweet because he “felt sorry for Corden.”
