Ja’Marr Chase says ‘nothing’ stands out about Chiefs secondary

Despite the struggles of the Bengals and Chiefs, the NFL left its Week 17 meeting as first match on Sunday late afternoon on Crow Dolphins. The Bengals and Chiefs have created one of the best rivalries in the NFL in recent seasons.

The teams exchanged trash talk on and off the field, and it continued Thursday in the Bengals locker room.

Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase bashed the Chiefs defense when asked a trivial question about what stands out about them.

“I’ll be honest, Nothingsaid Chase, via a video from Jungle Roar Pod’s Mike Petraglia. “They just know how to play us. They know the levers. . . . They know what we are going to do, certain movements. They throw little double-doubles at us to stop the two best players on the outside. That’s all they do. It’s not really like they have a Jalen Ramsey on their team. So, not much (that stands out).

Chase set a franchise record against the Chiefs in Week 17 of the 2021 season, with 266 receiving yards, and in two playoff games, he totaled 12 catches for 129 yards and a touchdown.

He said he loved playing the Chiefs because “they’re the ones who talk the most crap,” and added that he didn’t mind adding “fire to the oil.”

“They can take it however they want. I do not care“, Chase said. “At the end of the day, I can’t do much myself. It’s not like I’m Ironman. I can’t throw the ball to myself. It’s a sport team. I know what I see on paper. I know what I see in the game. That’s why they overtake everyone, because they can’t do it one-on-one. head. The best player on their team is (L’Jarius) Sneed. That’s a fact. Everyone knows it. That’s why they double-double everything they see.

Chase, whose right shoulder injury kept him out of last week’s game, is on track for a return after having limited work Thursday. He said his status for Sunday remains uncertain, but if he plays, the Chiefs know what to expect.

“They know I’m fine. They know how to play us,” Chase said. ” It is what it is. But it’s not like they have a superstar in their defense.

He challenged leaders to take his comments on board and “go with it.”

“I hope they put it in their locker,” he said.

Chase has 93 receptions for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games this season.
