The jets brought back one of their old defensive backs this off-season when they hired Aaron Glenn as a head coach and another is also back to the team.
The Jamal Adams security was a choice of first round in 2017 of the team and was an all-pro from the first team in 2019 before an acrimonious split led the jets to exchange it in Seahawks for a first-round choice pair in June 2020. Adams had a good first year in Seattle, but was limited to 22 games in the next three seasons. He played three games for the Titans and two games for the Lions last season, so he knows Glenn of his time in Detroit.
During an appearance on The Jets FairAdams expressed his regret for the way things ended with the jets and said he would have had the chance to allow a happier end with the team.
“I would love to be back with the jets and, obviously, finish it in the right way,” said Adams, via Rich Cimini from Espn.com. “Dude, that would be a dream Go reality, just to correct this relationship and make it work. Come right there as an experienced veterinarian and give a game to young cats and help in any way, the shape or the shape I can. I know I can still play football. I am in good health and I can have an impact on the game in many ways. I just need this right opportunity to come and present what I can do. »»
Adams’ problems with jets have occurred when Joe Douglas was the managing director, but it is not clear if Glenn and the new managing director Darren Mougey have an interest in a trip in the past during their first year with the team.
