Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury could be postponed until August 13, according to rumors circulating in the YouTube world.
The pair was originally scheduled to fight in December, only to have Fury pull out late due to a broken rib and a bacterial chest infection.
Now, the YouTube reporter who accurately broke the injury news late last year – KEEMSTAR – says the fight is about to be rescheduled.
Jake has already announced his next date of August 13, although no venue or opponent has been officially confirmed yet.
“The question is, who is Jake up against?” KEEMSTAR started in their update video.
“Well, I hear from my sources that Jake Paul is actually going to face Tommy Fury.
“Tommy had to pull out of the last fight because he got injured.
“Looks like Jake is going to give it another chance.”
When Fury retired in December, Jake instead fought a rematch with Tyrone Woodley as a late replacement, which ended in a knockout.
With his recovery complete, Tommy finally returned to action on April 23 as he appeared on his brother Tyson’s undercard at Wembley Stadium.
He floored opponent Daniel Bocianski and edged him to 8-0 as a pro fighter, then called out Jake in his post-fight interview.
“It should have been done a long time ago in December,” Tommy said.
“If you want it, I’m here and I’m ready for you. I will cut you and cut you into pieces.
“Get the contract signed, asshole, let’s do it once and for all.”
“Jake Paul – I’m going to end your career, you’re a bum and you’re worthless.
“Let’s do this fight.”
Time will tell if the rumors turn out to be true and if Tommy gets his wish.
