Eddie Hearn’s defamation trial against Jake Paul will not proceed to a trial after the parties reached an amicable settlement at the beginning of the month.
The complainants, Hearn and his company Boxing, as well as the intervener plaintiff Glenn Feldman and Paul informed a New York court on March 18 that all the parties agreed with a settlement in the defamation case, which was filed for the first time in September 2022.

Lawyers from all parties officially filed a request for dismissal on Monday. The terms of the regulation have not been disclosed.
Hearn and Match continued Paul in the United States District Court, the Southern District of New York, after Paul allegedly alleged that the promotion of boxing was paying the veteran judge Feldman to mark fights in favor of the Boxing Fighters Match in an interview of September 2022 with IFL TV.
The first fight Katie Taylor against Amanda Serrano and revenge Oleksandr Usyk against Anthony Joshua was discussed by Paul in his accusation against Hearn and Feldman.
Taylor against Serrano 1, which was co-promoted by Hearn’s Matchroom and Paul’s most precious promotions, ended with a polarizing shared decision where the matchroom fighter Taylor became the winner. Feldman marked the 97-93 fight for Taylor. USYK against Joshua 2 also ended with a decision divided with Feldman by controversial a 115-113 dashboard for the flagship gamecom fighter Joshua.

Paul said that “clearly (Feldman) was paid for money by Matchroom Boxing (to mark fights in favor of their fighters)” according to Feldman’s dashboards for the two aforementioned fights. Hearn and Feldman vehemently denied the complaint made by Paul. Matchroom asked Paul to withdraw his comments one day after the interview, which he refused to do.
Consequently, Matchroom made a complaint of $ 100,000,000 against Paul before a New York court in September 2022, Feldman joining the prosecution as co-plaing the following month.
Paul’s request to reject the prosecution of a match that was rejected by a New York judge in September 2024, which led to a settlement conference scheduled for last December.
Despite the current affair in the background, Hearn and Paul managed to agree twice on the fights for the fighting: Taylor against Serrano 2, which took place last November on the Mike Tyson against Paul Undercard and was won by Taylor, and for the third fight between the legendary duo who ceased to take place on July 11 on Netflix.
