Jadon Sancho leads celebrations in the Borussia Dortmund dressing room after beating PSG to reach the Champions League final as the Man United outcast performs Adele’s move.

Jadon Sancho led the dressing room celebrations after Borussia Dortmund reached the Champions League final.

Sancho played a pivotal role as his side ousted Kylian Mbappe and Co in the second leg of their semi-final against PSG on Tuesday night, with the visitors winning 1-0 thanks to a header from veteran defender Mats Hummels.

The result meant Dortmund won 2-0 on aggregate, with manager Edin Terzic boasting two clean sheets in the aftermath of the draw, which saw two strong defensive performances from the German side.

Voted Player of the Match by a number of pundits for his performance in the first leg at Dortmund last week, Sancho was involved in a more reserved performance this time around, returning regularly to help his side defensively as they reached their first final since 2011.

And the Manchester United man didn’t hold back in letting off steam afterwards, with footage from inside the away dressing room showing the winger front and center of the team’s celebrations.

The midfielder was seen on the table with a speaker, dancing and singing with Adele.

In a video shared on Instagram by the official Borsussia Dortmund account, Sancho can be seen carrying a large speaker while the rest of the team looks on, singing along to Adele’s Someone Like You.

The team is in full voice, with some too tired to stand and others taking a break and enjoying various refreshments.

The video then cuts and Sancho can be seen climbing onto the table in the middle of the room, speaker still in one hand, his phone in the other.

He can regularly be seen walking around the table, hugging his teammates and reaching to the sky while continuing to belt out Adele’s move.

The 24-year-old’s current teammates can be seen laughing and filming Sancho’s antics while also seeing the funny side of the midfielder’s performance.

The Champions League final could be Sancho’s final game for Dortmund in what has been United’s somewhat stellar loan spell, which began in January, with Dortmund boss Edin Terzic reluctant to discuss of a possible permanent deal for Sancho ahead of Tuesday’s match.

After a public row with manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho was banned from the first team, forced to train with youth team players while he remained defiant in his unwillingness to apologize.

Sancho had effectively called Ten Hag a liar on social media after the Dutchman publicly questioned his training standards, and his United career now appears all but over despite two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.

Pressure is increasing on Ten Hag after a disappointing season under his leadership, and Rio Ferdinand, speaking on TNT Sports, suggested Sancho could have a route to a return to Manchester if Ten Hag were to leave the club.

“I think the only way he can come back is if Erik ten Hag is not here,” Ferdinand said. “I don’t think they can undermine the manager without an apology, I think the manager needs to go for Sancho to return to Manchester United.

Co-pundit Owen Hargreaves added: “If you put it together with the players, there’s the potential to turn them into something really big. Jadon could be a part of it, he should be excited to be a part of it.

Sancho had also taken part in the on-pitch celebrations at the Parc des Princes, with Dortmund players rushing towards the away side inside the pitch at the final whistle.

Players wore jerseys with the words “yellow wall” as a symbol of their fan base, while their defensive performances earned the team the same nickname on Tuesday.

Ferdinand had argued that INEOS, United’s new minority-owned company run by billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, would challenge Sancho’s success this season.

He had struggled in a United shirt since his £73 million move to the German side in 2021, but now finds himself in the Champions League final on loan at the club.

“He’s in good form and needs to keep going and then he’s really putting pressure on Manchester United,” Ferdinand said. “People behind the scenes, INEOS, will be wondering why this isn’t happening with a United shirt.”
