Jack Nicholson called his ex Anjelica Huston unexpectedly to offer help after learning that his house was in an evacuation zone during the devastating forest fires of Los Angeles.
Huston, 73, shared a new interview that she had smoked her ranch in the mountain range of Sierra Nevada with her cleaning lady and her pets when the “phone sounded out of nowhere”.
“And it was him,” she recalls people on Thursday. “It’s always comfort when he calls.”
The star of “Witches” said that Nicholson, 87, wanted to make sure she was fine and asked her if she needed a place to stay, which she unfortunately refused.
“It was heartbreaking,” she told the magazine. “I went back several times in my head, and I think that next time, I would accept the invitation.”
Although Huston’s house “is very, very close” to the fire, she previously told the Guardian that he was fortunately left standing.
The star of “Addams Family”, who released Nicholson from time to time for 17 years, noted that she had not seen the star of “Shining” for a while.
“Life embarrassments,” she told people. “In addition, for any reason, they have done an endless re -re -work and road works near his house, so it takes hours to arrive, and it’s always irritating. I have always managed to be behind it, which is very irritating to him.”
However, Huston noted that their friendship of several decades is still very “important” for her.
During her February interview with The Guardian, the actress of “crimes and crimes” said that she could always count on Nicholson despite their rocky past.
“This is the essential with him and me-when the tokens are broken down, he is there,” she said at the exit.
As for knowing why she stayed with him for so many years despite her infidelities, Huston simply explained that she “loved her”.
“I think that in the world I lived in, it was not disrespectful,” she said. “It was how it was, and it was not so personal. I think that as soon as I timed that, everything was fine, I knew how to protect myself. It didn’t make me happy, but I knew what I was doing.”
The two met during one of the parts of Nicholson’s house in 1973 and quickly pushed things back. After years of meetings – and even by playing together in 1985 “Prizzi’s Honor” – their relationship ended in 1990 after the star of “One flew over the nest of cuckoo” caused a child with another woman.
Huston then married Robert Graham two years later. The sculptor died in 2008 at 70 years old.
Nicholson, for his part, never settled; Her last public relation was with actress Lara Flynn Boyle, who ended for good in the early 2000s.
Although Nicholson and Huston sparked reunion rumors in 2014, they apparently decided that they were better as an older.
