Jack Grealish couldn’t hide his delight at one of his former teammates after Aston Villa boosted Manchester City’s title chances.
The Villans beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates to give Man City the upper hand in the Premier League title race, and Grealish took to social media to show his gratitude to his former club.

The former Villa captain responded to Watkins’ post with two best emojis and a sky blue heart, appearing to acknowledge his international teammate’s contribution to City’s title bid.
It wasn’t the striker’s only role in the post-match drama, as he also launched a cheeky response to talkSPORT’s Troy Deeney on his Instagram Story, after previously saying he wasn’t ” not convinced” by Watkins.
It’s no surprise that Grealish was in a jubilant mood after the day’s events, as his side had secured a comfortable victory before seeing both their title rivals drop points.
Third in the table before the weekend, the reigning champions opened a two-point gap on Arsenal and Liverpool by beating Luton in Saturday’s match.
Second-half goals from Mateo Kovacic, Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol, plus an own goal from Daiki Hashioka, saw City watch in glee as Liverpool suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at home against Crystal Palace. the next day.
