Each GT MK IV is powered by an Ecoboost V6 engine with double turbocharger, producing more than 820 horsepower, enough to launch it from 0 to 60 MPH in about 3.0 seconds. For comparison, the standard road GT used a smaller 3.5 liter V6 making 660 hp.
Built on a personalized carbon fiber chassis from multimatic, the MK IV has a range of aerodynamic upgrades which help it generate more than 2,400 supporting pounds at 150 MPH. It is also capable of turn to more than 3 GS. Multimatic adaptive coil valves, adjustable cockpit, still improve track performance.
Of course, this level of engineering is not cheap. Each GT MK IV contains a price of around 1.7 million dollars. And once these final units have disappeared, the production of the Ford GT will end for good.
