One of the men who helped negotiate the conferences of the Takeover Rangers thinks that the club should adopt the chance to make a new start in summer.
Andy Mason, a Scottish and Financial Expert based in Dubai, was a key figure to make the initial introduction to American potentials.
The club is locked in talks with the investment branch of the 49ers of San Francisco, the American consortium seeking to win 51% of the shares and a majority participation at Ibrox.
The director general of the Rangers, Patrick Stewart, should speak during a question and answer session with supporters on Wednesday evening, it is planned that he will provide a kind of update on the proposed takeover.
A former season holder in Ibrox, Mason believes that the club has a huge opportunity to start again with serious financial support – and says that it would be open to a role in reconstruction.
Stressing the need for a major overhaul, he also insists that what’s going on on the field will be just as important as the recruitment of a new manager and new players.

Speaking exclusively at Mail Sport, Mason said: “My role in all of this was really to reach out and help make the initial introduction a few months ago.
“It’s an extremely exciting moment to be a fan of the rangers at the moment and, like everyone, I can’t wait to see what the future looks like as the agreement is going on.
“The expertise that the 49ers could bring to the table could change the situation. From the point of view of companies, be able to draw from this field of gold dust.
“I think you will probably see a major upheaval behind the scenes of the Rangers in the coming months.
The Rangers advertise for a new commercial director. Sean Jefferson held the temporary position, after Karim Virani’s departure last December.
Several other keystations behind the scenes will have to be held in the coming months, such as a director of football or sport, as well as a recruitment chief.
Nils Koppen currently holds the position of technical director after leaving the recruitment chief, but it is largely planned that he can leave the club when the takeover is finished.
Mason built a multitude of contacts during his stay in the Middle East and has vast commercial experience in Scotland, the United States and beyond.

When asked if he would be open to playing a role with his childhood club, he said: “Yes, of course I would be.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to do what I’m doing here in Dubai.” I have a good life here and I take advantage of what I do.
“It’s not just a case to jump on it because they are the Rangers. This is a case of feeling that I could go there and make a real difference on the commercial side of things.
“When it comes to things like dealing with sponsors and unlock new sources of income, that’s where I feel like I can bring something to the table.
“The club has a huge opportunity to start over in summer. For me, I think they should look outside the beaten track.
“It is common in football to see many people floating from one club to another in these management positions.
“I think it would be refreshing and finally beneficial if the club looked beyond. Doing things immediately on the ground is of equal importance as to what is happening in the field.
“Once the takeover is completed, I plan that they will probably have a major upheaval at the back of the house.
“If luck came to work with the club and get things done, to answer your question, of course, I would be interested.”
