‘It’s disgusting!’ – LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau forced to give socks to fan and leaves Dustin Johnson shocked

Bryson DeChambeau was forced to give away his socks after losing a putting contest with a fan at LIV Adelaide.

The American is taking part in the latest LIV Golf tournament in Australia where his fans made a very strange request.

On Saturday, DeChambeau made a bet with a group of supporters on the side of the green in a video posted to his TikTok account.

He agreed to sign their hats if he made the putt, but then asked what they would want if he didn’t make it.

And one fan responded happily and very quickly: “I want your socks!”

DeChambeau then laughingly agreed, saying, “All right, I’ll give you my socks.”

The 30-year-old then set up the putt as the group watched behind him and put on the pressure.

That pressure seemed to get to him, as he missed the putt to the delight of the Australian fans.

As DeChambeau approached them and took off his socks, they chanted, “Bryson, Bryson, Bryson!” while adoring him.

And then the lucky recipient of his socks claimed his prize after winning the bet, leaving DeChambeau in hysterics.

The loss in the putting competition forced him to return barefoot to the clubhouse with his shoes in hand.

And on the way he ran into former world number one Dustin Johnson who, of course, wondered what he was doing.

DeChambeau replied: “I lost my socks in a putting competition.”

To which Johnson replied, “Someone wanted your socks?”

Before continuing to express disbelief and looking directly at the camera saying: “That’s disgusting.”

He then asked if he signed them and DeChambeau admitted “Yes” before strutting into the building.

Both players will be in attendance at LIV Adelaide this week, with round four taking place today.

As it stands, DeChambeau is T26 at 10 under while Johnson is T31 at nine under.

DeChambeau aims to follow up his impressive T6 result at the Masters with a victory on his return to LIV Golf competition.

But now he’ll have to dig into his spares to make sure he has socks to wear for the final round of play!
