America is a deeply spiritual nation. More than 70% of us say that we feel spiritual in one way or another. But – at the same time – we become less religious. So, for people who are spiritual but not religious – what replaces organized religion? What do they do believe – And where does it appear in their daily life? In our series entitled Losing My Religion, it was a minute that will discover it.

In our latest episode of the series, Brittany investigates the so-called demonstration. It is this popular that if you want something wrong, it will happen to you. You may know this idea by other names, such as the law of attraction or secrecy. The demonstration increased in 2020, according to Google Trends, and it still rides this online wave. Brittany calls with Tara Isabella Burton, author and journalist, and Rebecca Jennings of New York magazine to go to the bottom of this trend: the attraction of manifestation, her symbiotic relationship with the Internet, and why she could make us less aware of our humanity.
