The prodigy of the Indian chess of Gukesh recently talked about its viral advertisement with the legend of Viswanathan Anandand chess, where the two shared a hilarious moment revolving around the slang of Gen Z “Skibidi”. Gukesh has been in the spotlight since he became the world chess champion after defeating Dingn by a score of 7½ to 6½. Gukesh explains the significance of skibidi
The advertising in question, created for an electronic commercial platform, has stormed social media for its humor full of mind and chemistry between the two chess icons. Gukesh and Anand could be seen to exchange jokes in advertising that was published last month. Gukesh was recently questioned about the meaning of the “skibidi” slang used in the ad. Here is what the reigning world champion said:
“It was quite funny during the shooting because I was supposed to be the guy of Gen Z, and when I read the script, I said to myself:” Vishs sir, what does that mean? ” And he explained to me. But as far as I understand, Skibidi means something bizarre or funny, I don’t know, ”admitted Gukesh, laughing.
In his video on the Freestyle Chess YouTube channel, Gukesh also revealed his favorite chess player of all time. Gukesh chose the late American Grand Master Bobby Fischer as “greater genius of all time”.
“I consider (bobby) fischer as the goat or the greatest genius of all time,” said Gukesh when asked who was the goat in his opinion.
Asked about his sleep routine, Gukesh admitted to having a poor schedule, especially when he is at home. However, he added that he was actively working to improve this habit. Gukesh also shared that his favorite cartoon series is “Chota Bheem”, naming him as his first choice.
