No one is allowed to leave until an agreement is reached. Cohen and Boras can split the bill for takeout.
A divorce appears likely after the Mets began moving forward last week with the belief that Alonso will sign elsewhere. The team has since re-signed Jesse Winker and officially announced the addition of left-hander AJ Minter to the bullpen on Thursday. The buzz around Alonso, meanwhile, has been minimal.
