An Israeli Human Rights group published a report on Monday in which the Israeli defense officers and soldiers who participated in the creation of a buffer area along the Gaza border with Israel described alleged war crimes, including the blind murder, as well as the deliberately deliberate “Kill Zone”.
The new Breaking The Silence (BTS) report details how Israel – which, for decades, is doubtfully based on the areas of defensive stamp in the territories which it conquers or controls – on a policy of “deliberate and deliberate destruction” in order to create a security perimeter going between the edge of the palette roughly from the Gaza border.
“To create this area, Israel has launched a major military engineering operation which, by wholesale, has completely reshaped around 16% of the Gaza Strip … An area which previously houses 35% of the agricultural land in Gaza,” said the report. “The perimeter extends from the coast to the north to the Egyptian border in the south, all in the territory of the Gaza Strip and outside the international borders of Israel.”
“The mission given to soldiers on the ground, as revealed in their testimonies, was to create an empty and completely flat extent about a kilometer wide along the Gaza side of the border fence,” continues the publication. “This space should have neither cultures, structures or people. Almost all objects, infrastructure installation and structure in the perimeter were demolished.”
“The Palestinians were denied entry into the region, a ban that was applied using living fire, including machine gun fire and tanks. In this way, the army has created a death zone of enormous proportions,” added the report. “Places where people had lived, cultivated and established the industry have been transformed into a vast wasteland, a band of eradicated land in its entirety.”
“The testimonies demonstrate that the soldiers have received orders to deliberately, methodically and systematically destroy everything that was within the designated perimeter, including whole residential districts, public buildings, educational establishments, mosques and cemeteries, very close to the exceptions,” said the newspaper. “The industrial zones and the agricultural areas which served the whole population of Gaza have been waste, that these areas have links with the fighting.”
“Places where people had lived, cultivated and established the industry have been transformed into a large wasteland.”
The Palestinians who dared to enter the perimeter, even accidentally, were also targeted, including civilian men, women, children and elders. The officers and soldiers interviewed by BTS had trouble explaining whether the non-combatants were informed of the limits of the area without Go, one claiming that civilians knew how to stay away when they saw that “enough people died or injured themselves” crossing the unmarked border.
Some people who have entered the perimeter by pure despair have been targeted. The blockade of Israel of Gaza fueled famine and sometimes fatal, and the Palestinians entered the “killing area” to choose Hubeza, a nutritious wild plant, after the agricultural land of the region was shaved.
“The FDIs really respond to the wishes of the public, who say:” There are no innocent people in Gaza. We will show them “”, explained a reserve adjutant. “People were incriminated to have bags in their hands. Guy presented himself with a bag? Terrorist accused. I think they came to choose Hubeza, but … Boom”, the tanks were fired on him halfway around.
In a separate interview with
The guardianThis same officer said that at the beginning, his attitude towards the invasion of Gaza was: “I went there because they killed us and now we are going to kill them.”
“And I discovered that we are not only killing them – we kill them, we kill their wives, their children, their cats, their dogs,” they added. “We destroy their houses and piss on their graves.”
Another FDI reservist officer told BTS that he had been informed that “there is no civilian population” in the region, where the Palestinians are “terrorists, all”. Asked what the area looked like after the FDI compensation operation, the officer replied: “Hiroshima”.
A captain in an armored division of TSAhal reserves said that “the limit is a killing area” where “there are no clear commitment rules” or “appropriate combat procedure”.
“Whoever crosses a certain line, which we have defined, is considered a threat and is sentenced to death,” added the captain.
The BTS report follows a survey published last December HaaretzThe oldest journal of Israel, in which the TSAhal soldiers and the veterans described a “killing area” in the corridor of Netzarim in the heart of Gaza, where the troops were ordered to draw “anyone between”.
“Forces on the ground call it” the line of corpses “, said a commander. “After the shots, the bodies are not collected, attracting packets of dogs that come to eat them. In Gaza, people know that wherever you see these dogs, this is where you should not go.”
The new report comes as the Israeli forces stage an ethnic cleaning campaign during which hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are forcibly expelled from the Gaza areas, including the South and an enlarged border perimeter.
The Associated Pressreported on Monday that Israel “now controls more than 50% of the territory and serves the Palestinians in land shrinking”.
Israeli troops move to grab large leaflets from the Gaza Strip for a so-called “security zone” and a Jewish recolonization. The members of the far-right government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the campaign was coordinated with the administration of the American president Donald Trump, who, in February, said that the United States “would take control” Gaza, would withdraw all its Palestinians and transformed the Mediterranean enclave into “Riveiera du Middle East”.
Netanyahu arrived in Washington, Hungary DC for interviews with Trump and other American officials concerning subjects such as a ceasefire from Gaza on Monday, the release of the remaining hostages held by Hamas, Iranian policy and prices. Netanyahu is a fugitive from the International Criminal Court, who published arrest mandates last year and former Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, including extermination and the use of famine as a weapon of war.
Israel is also faced with a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for his conduct in a war that made more than 180,000 Palestinians who died, mutilated or missing in Gaza and almost all 2 million people in the band have been moved by force – often several times.
The bombing and the invasion of Israel of Gaza continued on Monday. A TI strike early in the morning on a tent where many journalists slept in front of Nasser hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis killed Palestine today The journalist Hilmi al-Faqaawi and another man, who were burned as helpless witnesses, could not develop the flames or the rescue victims.
Nine others were injured in the attack, which, according to the FDI, targeted a member of Hamas posing as a journalist. More than 230 journalists have been killed by Israeli bombs and bullets since October 2023.
