A civilian was injured in a stabbing terrorist attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Shabbat, the city’s police said.

The terrorist, armed with a knife, approached a group of people in front of a restaurant and stabbed a civilian, who was seriously injured.

An armed civilian nearby shot and neutralized the attacker, police said.

Itai Atias, a spokesman for Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services, said the victim, aged in his 20s, suffered a stab wound to the upper body, adding that he had been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). ) and is in moderate condition.

The suspect is believed to be Salah Yahya, a 19-year-old resident of Tulkarem who entered Israel illegally, according to Ynet.
