The Israeli strikes killed dozens of Palestinians in northern Gaza overnight, Palestinian health officials announced on Wednesday, while Israel threatened to go up his military campaign in the enclave despite the assembly of international pressure.
On Wednesday, the bodies of more than 50 people killed during the night arrived at the Indonesian hospital at noon, according to Marwan Sultan, director of the medical establishment of the city of Beit Lahia. He said that children were one of the dead and that dozens of people had been injured.
The Gaza Ministry of Health also said that around 70 people were killed on Wednesday, without specifying where Gaza health officials do not distinguish between combatants and civilians when they report tolls.
Israel has threatened a massive escalation through the Gaza Strip in order to force Hamas to surrender and release the remaining hostages it has held for more than 18 months. The plan, as described by Israeli leaders, would move many gas which, in some cases, have been forced from their house or their temporary shelters since the start of the war.
On Wednesday, the Israeli army said in a statement that its forces had struck Hamas and Islamic Jihad activists in northern Gaza, adding that it had sought to alleviate civilians. An Israeli military spokesman warned Gazans in some parts of the northern enclave to flee from an imminent attack after rockets were fired from Israeli territory.
Odai Daama, a 23 -year -old Jabaliya man – in the evacuation zone – said he had not seen the Israeli announcement because he had no internet connection. Around midnight, the strikes started, “hit houses around us,” he said.
