Israel made an air strike in the north of Gaza on Sunday, already shaking a fragile cease While new talks in Doha should take place on Monday.
The Israeli army said that the air strike targeted Hamas terrorists who “were identified operating near the troops of TSAhal and trying to plant an explosive device in the soil in northern Gaza.”
It was not immediately clear if injuries of the strike were reported.
The air strike comes just before discussions on the future of the truce that should start again this week.
The ceasefire that started in mid-January brought a break in the Israel, bombing and offensive campaign on the ground in Gaza aimed at destroying Hamas after its terrorist attack on October 7, 2023 against southern Israel.
The first phase of the ceasefire saw the release of 25 Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza and the bodies of eight others in exchange for the release of nearly 2,000 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel.
Since the end of the first phase, Hamas has called on several occasions for an immediate start to negotiations, however, Israel has pressure for an extension of phase one until mid-April, demanding the release of half of its remaining hostages.

On Sunday, Israel said that he was cutting his electricity supply from Gaza. The complete effects of this is not immediately clear, but the desalination factories of the territory receive power for the production of drinking water.
Gaza has been largely devastated by war, and generators and solar panels are used for part of the power supply.

Adam Boehler, Trump’s candidate to be a special envoy for hostage affairs, held Unprecedented direct conferences with Hamas this week. He told the “Union” of CNN that he was convinced that an agreement could be concluded “in a few weeks” to release all civilians still held by Hamas.
Boehler said he understood the “dismay” of Israel that the United States had talks with the group, but said that he had sought to relaunch “fragile” negotiations.
“In the end, I think it was a very useful meeting,” he said, adding: “I think something could come together in a few weeks … I think there is an agreement where they can go out all the prisoners, not just the Americans.”
On Sunday, a senior Hamas official told Reuters that meetings with Boehler also focused on the release of an American-Israeli hostage owned by the militant group.
“We informed the American delegation that we do not oppose the liberation of the prisoner in the context of these discussions,” Nono told Reuters.
Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff told the White House journalists last week that the release of Edan Alexander, the 21 -year -old from New Jersey, considered as the last American hostage living in Hamas in Gaza, was an “absolute priority for us”.
Of the 251 hostages taken by Palestinian activists during the attack on October 7, 2023, 58 remain in Gaza, including five Americans. Four American captives were confirmed dead.
The attack on Hamas resulted in the death of 1,218 people on the Israeli side, most civilians, according to official figures.
Israel’s reprisal campaign killed at least 48,458 people in Gaza, the majority of civilians, according to the Ministry of Health of the territory managed by Hamas.
