A solid forest fire broke out Wednesday in Israel in the forests between Eshtaol and Latrun, west of Jerusalem, forcing evacuations and road closings while thousands of people gathered in the Jewish state for the observances of the Memorial Day. Disputed by high temperatures, low humidity and strong winds, fire, which would have been intentionally adjusted, spreads quickly through several places through Israel.
“It is a terrorist attack on Israel,” said Eli Beer, president of the UNITED Hatzalah emergency intervention organization at the media line. He noted that the fires had been launched in 20 distinct places. A security source also confirmed to the media line that a terrorist act was probably behind the fires, adding that several people had been arrested.
