Israel Adesanya rips into bodybuilder Bradley Martyn and lifts lid on meeting at Jake Paul party

Israel Adesanya has joined former UFC great Demetrious Johnson in criticizing Bradley Martyn.

“The Last Stylebender” has not fought since his third career loss to Sean Strickland in September 2023, and has yet to confirm his next move in the octagon.

However, he took the time to discuss a common enemy, bodybuilder Martyn, with former UFC flyweight champion Johnson, who regularly propositioned him to enter the cage.

And Adesanya revealed he did just that when the pair met at a party with Jake Paul after the YouTube star beat Nate Robinson in 2020.

He recalled in an interview on Johnson’s YouTube channel: “I meet Jake Paul at the hotel, then he invites me to his house.

“Go ahead, crazy. It was during COVID times. He’s got a ring in the backyard. And I heard from someone that, ‘oh, this guy’s trying to get Izzy in the ring’ , and I said, ‘No, I’m just here to have fun.

“I don’t do any of that. And that was him. Some people aren’t even man enough to wash the jocks we fight with.

“They’re not even man enough, or worthy enough to get in the ring or in the cage with us, because you’re pretty much this life.

“And when they ‘Oh, how would I get out of this? How would I do it?’ Stop.”

Martyn already saw Adesanya’s comments and posted a response on social media with a screenshot of a friendly DM he sent to Adesanya after their first meeting.

The caption read: “Who said that? You mean last night? All I did was show you love.

“The fighters look hurt. I guess we all just have weight for hunting now.”

Martyn and Adesanya have no prior animosity, but there is now a clear feud between the two.

The massive weightlifter caused tension with a variety of MMA fighters, challenging them to street fights, suggesting he would win due to his size and strength.

He challenged “Mouse” Johnson to a contest in the past, which DJ accepted despite being half the size of the juggernaut.

Joe Rogan even insisted that Johnson would be able to beat Martyn, given that he has previously submitted fighters weighing 100 pounds more than him.

Martyn also called out boxing champion Devin Haney, recently beaten by Ryan Garcia.
