It was after the Masters in 2023 that the 48-year-old was forced to undergo ankle surgery and he is still recovering from the procedure.

Woods made his return over the winter, but was forced to withdraw from the Genesis Invitational due to illness in mid-February and has not played since.

Is Tiger Woods playing at the Masters?

It is not yet confirmed whether Woods will play at the Masters.

However, the 15-time major champion is currently on the official tournament grounds and is expected to feature.

He has not competed in a tournament since retiring from the Genesis in February.

Woods opted out of the Players Championship last month and appears to be focused on playing Augusta again.

The legend was seen playing on the course several times last month alongside Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy.

He also reportedly trained at the gym until 4 a.m. to get in the best possible condition for the tournament.

Woods was forced to withdraw from last year’s Masters after suffering pain throughout.

He withdrew due to plantar fasciitis and later decided to have surgery to fix the problem.

He then had to take seven months off from the sport after the procedure, but is now back and fighting to get fit.

And things are looking positive as he aims to compete in what will be his 26th appearance at the tournament.

Confirmation of Woods’ participation is expected to come Monday.
