A thousand new drones were delivered to the Iranian army on Monday, the official Tasnim news agency reported, as the country prepares for further friction with its archenemy Israel and the United States under the leadership of the new American president Donald Trump.
The drones have been delivered to various locations across Iran and are said to feature high stealth and anti-fortification capabilities, according to Tasnim.
“The unique characteristics of drones, including a range of more than 2,000 km, high destructive power, the ability to pass through layers of defense with a low radar cross section and autonomous flight, not only increase the depth of reconnaissance and of border surveillance, but It will also strengthen the combat capability of the army’s drone fleet against distant targets,” the news agency added.
The drones were also manufactured in Iran by the Iranian military, scientists and “innovators,” according to the news agency.
This comes after Iran’s defense industry last week revealed a new suicide drone – the Razvan.
Earlier this month, Iran launched two-month military exercises, which already include war drills in which the Revolutionary Guards defended key nuclear facilities in Natanz against simulated missile and missile attacks. drones.
