Iran claims without proof that it has seized Israeli nuclear files

Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (AP) – The Iranian Intelligence Minister said without proposing on Sunday evidence that Tehran seized an “important treasure” of information on the Israel nuclear program, before a week during which the Islamic Republic will probably face new diplomatic pressures on its own program.

Esmail Khatib’s remarks follow Iranian state television saying on Saturday that Iranian intelligence officials have seized documents, again without any evidence. Israel, Whose Undeclared Atomic Weapons Program Makes It The Only Country in the Mideast With Nuclear Bombs, has not acknowledged Any such Iranian Operation Targeting it – Though there have been arrests of Israelis Alledly Spying for Tehran Amid The War of Israel-Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Iran, on the other hand, will probably face censorship this week from the Governors’ Council of the International Atomic Energy Agency on long -standing issues on its program. Iran has also reported that it would reject a proposal from the United States after five cycles of negotiations on its nuclear program – Take the ground for this long -standing crisis to potentially increase too.

“ Treasure ” of the complaint of secrets comes without proof

Answering questions from a journalist from the Iranian state television on Sunday after a meeting of the cabinet, Khatib said that members of the Ministry of Intelligence “obtained an important treasure of the strategic, operational and scientific intelligence of the Zionist regime and he was transferred to the country with the help of God.”

He said thousands of documents of documents had been obtained and insisted that they would be made public soon. Among them, there were documents related to the United States, Europe and other countries, he said, obtained by “infiltration” and “access to sources”.

He has not developed the methods used. However, Khatib, a Shiite religious, was sanctioned by the US Treasury in 2022 to lead “the attacks of cyber-espionage and ransomware in support of the political objectives of Iran”.

For Iran, the complaint can be designed to show the public that theocracy has been able to answer An Israeli operation 2018 This stimulated what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described as a “half-tonne” of documents related to the Iranian program. This Israeli announcement came just before President Donald Trump in his first mandate unilaterally withdrew America from the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement With global powers, which have considerably limited its program in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.

Announcement before the vote of the board of directors of IAEA, as we are talking about Waver

This week, Western nations expect to go before The Council of Governors of the IAEA with a proposal To find Iran in non-conformity with the United Nations nuclear guard dog. It could be the first time in decades – and it would probably be necessary to kick the question to the United Nations Security Council.

This could see one of the Western countries involved in the 2015 nuclear agreement invoke the so-called “snapback” of UN sanctions on the Islamic Republic. The power to restore these sanctions by the complaint of any member of the original nuclear agreement of 2015 expires in October – putting the West on a clock to exert pressure on Tehran on its program before losing this power.

Iran now enriches uranium up to 60% purity – a short technical step in weapon level levels of 90%. Tehran has enough uranium highly enriched to build several atomic bombs if she chooses it.

Without agreement with the United States, Iran’s long -standing economy could enter a free fall which could worsen the simmering unrest at home. Israel or the United States could make long-standing air strikes targeting Iranian nuclear installations. Experts fear that Tehran in response decides to end his cooperation with the IAEA and rush to a bomb.
