Iran beat Wales to 10 to keep World Cup qualification hopes alive

Two late goals secured Iran a sensational 2-0 win over Wales to keep their hopes of advancing to the World Cup knockout stages alive.

Rouzbeh Cheshmi struck from long range to put Iran ahead brilliantly in the 98th minute, while Ramin Rezaeian sealed the victory in the 101st minute to give Iran the three points, their first of the tournament.

Both goals came after Welsh keeper Wayne Hennessey was sent off in the second half for a careless challenge outside his area.

More soon.
