Investigation underway in Scottsville after shooting leaves man dead on Main Street

Scottsville, NY — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on Main Street in the village of Scottsville that left a man in his 40s dead.

Deputies responded early Sunday morning to a report of a person with a gunshot wound.

When they arrived, they found a man in his forties dead from a gunshot wound.

Deputies are investigating and say there is no threat to the community.
