Internal database exposed in depth containing chat stories and sensitive data

The Chinese IA company Deepseek has set an exposed back-end database which poured sensitive information, including user chat stories and API keys to the Internet open. The Deepseek database has not been protected by a password, allowing anyone on the Internet to access more than a million unacyed newspapers inside.

The safety researchers of the Cloud Wiz giant said that they had found the database exposed and alerted Deepseek, which has little time after the database of offline database. According to Wired, Wiz researchers said the discussion newspapers were in Chinese but easily translated. It is not yet known if someone else, apart from Wiz, found the database before its security, and it is not known for how long the database was exposed. Deepseek did not respond to a request for comments.

The poorly configured databases are often caused by a human error, rather than because of a malicious intention. Deepseek has experienced viral popularity since its public launch in December.
