Instagram back online after global outage — RT World News

Users around the world briefly lost access to Instagram on Sunday evening as the popular photo and video sharing platform suffered an outage.

Online tracking service DownDetector has received over 180,000 reports that Instagram is not working.

“We are aware that some people have difficulty accessing Instagram”, said the Instagram spokesperson.

“We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

Instagram is now online again.

Services owned by what are now called Meta Platforms suffered their worst global outage in history in October 2021, when Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp all went out of service for several hours.
