Inside the Forever Wild Story of Ashley Madison’s Hacking Scandal

The Raders, for their part, participated in the Netflix series.

Sam remembers admitting to his wife that he had an Ashley Madison account over lunch at Chili’s at the Dallas Fort Worth airport before taking off for a family vlogger convention in Seattle.

But he first lied to Nia and all their fans when he explained in a YouTube video, his wife by his side, that he owned the account but otherwise remained loyal.

In fact, he said on the show, “I was keeping a lot of secrets from Nia, and those secrets went way deeper than Ashley Madison and way beyond that.”

They lived temporarily apart and went to counseling after the debacle, the parents of four children on the show said, and remained together.

“I’m not mad at Ashley Madison, and certainly not mad at hackers,” Sam told Netflix’s Tudum after the series premiere. “I was already on a horrible path when I was announced Ashley Madison. Of course it’s frustrating that they didn’t keep my data secure, but I just see it as the Lord puts me and brings me out of the darkness.

Nia added: “It’s always shocking that things like this exist.” But, she noted, “I believe marriages can be healed. It’s worth fighting to repair your marriage.”
