The cabin of Josh Duhamel in the woods has become its new house and its home of Doomsday in one.
The star of “Ransom Canyon” made on her new out -of -network excavations in Minnesota, describing the wooded house as a “large playground” in an interview with parade published Thursday.
“It really brought me back in touch,” he said. “There is something that achieves the soul in many ways.”
Duhamel has declared to the point of sale that the house, that he was built in 15 years, is his slice of paradise on earth far from the bustle of Hollywood – or of any big city, moreover.
“Part of the reason why I built my place in Minnesota, at the bottom of the woods, is that it is withdrawn from everything,” he shared.
“The closest store is 40 miles away. Once we got there, it is really everyone who takes care of each other – make memories, spend time with your family and friends. You really have the chance to get back to the point. You are not consumed by all these other distractions. ”
“When you’re there, it’s really about having fun, making sure everyone is hot, everyone has food and water,” he added.
The house also served as a vehicle to bring the actor’s family closer.
Duhamel, 52, is the father of two sons: Axl Jack, 11, whom he shares with the ex-wife Fergie, and Shepherd, 15 months, whom he welcomed with his current wife, Audra Mari.
“My son will have memories of this place forever. He is not on his iPad when he is there. He is there in the boat with me, or he plays football on the beach, or he is in the woods doing everything I do,” he said at the exit.
“And then I have a little baby who will experience the same thing. One day, I hope to transmit this to them (therefore) they are able to share it with their children. It is really important to me that they have it.
The star of “Fushgun Wedding”, who grew up in the North Dakota, shared that he had become closer to his own father, who initially found the land on which the cabin is built, thanks to the experience.
“I became much closer to my own parents because of this place, which was interesting. My father loves to come and go out to go out. And we have spent more time together in the past five, 10 years than ever growing up. I am much closer to my father, ”he said.
“My mom now likes to come there. It has become a real central center for all of us. ”
The self-written “doomsday prepper” has previously shared that he built his house to be a safe refuge for his family “if things go south” in his interview in February 2024 with the opposite.
“I have this crazy fixation on what is happening if the fan in Los Angeles and that I have to take my family there and live from the earth,” he shared at the time, adding that he “pushed cultures” and learned to hunt and fish.
“I think we could live on the ground there. I am not yet very good at this area, but I get there. ”
The remote house is also equipped with a Starlink Internet connection and has a personalized water filtration system.
