“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” star Anya Taylor-Joy arrived late to her party after attending a party for Dior for the first time, a source told Page Six – but she made up for it lost time dancing with “Moulin Rouge” director Baz Luhrmann. the song “Lady Marmalade”, which was featured in his 2001 film.
Meanwhile, Campbell arrived at the party with what a spy claims was an entourage of nine, with one member of her crew cutting off a guest as they sped past, nearly knocking him over.
Campbell, 53, hung out with the film’s stars – including Taylor-Joy, 28, and Chris Hemsworth – as well as stylist Law Roach, who dressed her for the evening in a sequinned Chanel couture dress that she originally wore on the red carpet at Cannes in 1996.
The model changed her look for the party, and an onlooker told us Roach was seen diligently adjusting her skirt.
The prequel to “Mad Max: Fury Road” is receiving praise from film critics and has earned the approval of Cannes Film Festival jury president, “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig.
A spy at the party at Hyde Beach on the Croisette tells us he saw Gerwig telling director George Miller, 79, how much she loved the film.
“I love it so much,” Gerwig, 40, said, calling one scene “heartfelt, but hilarious… It was so awesome.”
She also told him, “It’s beyond.” It’s so cool,” and she compared the high-speed action sequences to “a dance,” like a “ballet.”
The film, which reportedly cost $168 million to make, received a seven-minute standing ovation.
Hemsworth hung out at the movie party, which starred Campari.
CAA powerhouses Bryan Lourd and Kevin Huvane were also spotted at the Warner Bros. bash, hosted this year by studio co-presidents Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy.
In the highly anticipated film, Taylor-Joy plays a younger version of Charlize Theron’s character from the 2015 film “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
“I wanted a change,” Taylor-Joy said of making the film. “I wanted to find myself in an extremis situation where I would have no choice but to grow up. And I got it.
