Inside Kyle Walker and wife Annie’s ‘frosty’ reception at Coleen and Wayne Rooney’s mansion party after Lauryn Goodman scandal: ‘They’re working through their differences but things aren’t the way they used to be’

Kyle Walker and his wife Annie Kilner reportedly had a frosty reception when they attended a party at Wayne and Coleen’s Cheshire mansion over the bank holiday.

The couple, who recently welcomed their fourth son, have been facing turmoil since it was revealed that Kyle was the father of Lauryn Goodman’s two children.

They spent time as a family at Coleen and Wayne Rooney’s mega mansion this weekend as they put the latest Lauryn scandal behind them.

Annie, 31, and Kyle, who now have four sons, were said to have been “frosty” with each other as the Rooneys threw a holiday party for their football pals.

The Sun reported: “They are doing things as a family again. »

“But it didn’t all go smoothly and there was clearly still a bit of tension. Everyone was letting their hair down, laughing and having a few drinks, but it was obvious that Kyle was still in the doghouse.

“They weren’t particularly in love but it’s a step in the right direction for them as a couple.”

A second source told MailOnline: “Annie and Kyle are working through their differences as they navigate life with a newborn. They enjoyed the day with other footballers and their families as well as a host of other famous faces.

“The couple is understandably not back to the way they were, but connecting with friends and being together to do normal family things is helping their reconciliation.”

The Rooneys hosted friends including commentator Darren Fletcher, Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick, Everton’s Jordan Pickford and former Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce at their £20 million mansion.

They also extended the invitation to members of Girth N Turf FC, which is one of EA Sports FC’s 24 virtual professional clubs.

It comes after it was reported that Kyle would consider abandoning Manchester City and the Premier League in favor of a move to Saudi Arabia at the end of the season, according to The Sun.

The City star was in talks with Bayern Munich over a possible move last year before signing a new contract extension that would keep him in the Premier League and reigning European champions until 2026.

The media storm focused on his relationship could pave the way for a summer departure from European football and the City full-back is in talks with former teammate Riyad Mahrez over a move to the Middle East.

Riyadh joined Saudi side Al Ahli after winning the treble under Pep Guardiola and offered Walker expert advice on life in the country.

He moved there with his wife Taylor Ward and their young daughter last year, with the former initially upset about leaving England for Saudi Arabia.

Taylor later claimed she felt more comfortable after seeing popular food chain Nandos have premises in the country.

If Kyle leaves, he would be the highest-profile English player to join the league – which is continuing its approach to attracting top talent by offering huge salaries.

Jordan Henderson had already left the Premier League for Saudi Arabia last year before returning to Europe with Ajax in January.

Kyle is said to be “very happy” at City as they continue their quest for a fourth consecutive Premier League title and prepare to face derby rivals Man United in the FA Cup final for the second consecutive season.

His wife, Annie, would also be in favor of leaving England in search of a fresh start abroad, sources reportedly told The Sun.

The conversations with Riyadh reportedly focused mainly on the various Saudi Pro League clubs and the lifestyle of foreign players moving to the oil-rich kingdom.

Kyle was pleased with the information provided to him by his former colleague and will evaluate all available options once the season is over.

His departure would mark a blow for Guardiola who arranged the player’s move to the Etihad from Tottenham in 2017 for an initial fee of £47million.

Kyle’s representative told MailOnline: ‘Kyle, like many footballers, has been thinking about his career following Premier League and England commitments. Conversations about a move were about his future and not something he was considering anytime soon. “He is immensely proud to be captain of his club and to play for his country.”

Meanwhile, MailOnline also revealed on Friday that Kyle had returned to the family home to spend time with his children, just four months after being kicked out by his wife.

Annie was heavily pregnant with their fourth child when she learned the shocking news of her husband’s infidelity.

Kyle was ordered to pack his bags and leave their £3.5million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire.

He moved to a house nearby, paying rent of £20,000 a month as the couple’s marriage collapsed.

Kyle still lives in the rental property, but spends time with his children in the family home and helps Annie around the house.

The source said: “It would be an understatement to say he needs to get back into Annie’s good books and is doing his best by making himself more useful around the house. But there are people around her who think she took it back too quickly.

“But her hormones are all over the place and she decided it was worth the effort to save their marriage. A lot of women wouldn’t have done that, but ultimately it’s her choice.

Annie, 30, gave birth last month with the Manchester City and England footballer by her side.

The past few months have been a roller coaster ride for Annie, after discovering in December last year that her sportsman husband had fathered a second child with Lauryn and Walker had left their home just weeks later in January.

Ahead of the arrival of their fourth child, who they plan to name Rezon, the couple also share sons Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, and Reign, five.
