Ant McPartlin welcomes baby boy
Earlier this month, Ant welcomed his first son, Wilder, to the family.
Wilder is his first child with his wife Anne-Marie. He is already the stepfather of her two daughters, Daisy and Poppy.
Ant announced the exciting news on his Instagram. He shared a photo of himself cradling baby Wilder, alongside a caption admitting he was a “mess.”
“Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born 5/14/24 at 8:54am,” he wrote.
“Baby is beautiful, mom is a legend, the sisters are over the moon. Dad is a mess!
Ant McPartlin’s Tattoo Drama
During his baby announcement, Ant showed off a new tattoo. The tattoo depicts a large tree, with the names of Ant’s loved ones in the branches.
In the tree, we could see the names of Anne-Marie, Poppy and Daisy. The names of their dogs, Milo and Bumble, could also be seen.
However, in the photo shared on Instagram, Hurley’s name was not visible.
Hurley is the dog that Ant and his ex-wife, Lisa Armstrong, shared during their marriage. When they separated, they decided to share custody of Hurley.
Ant responds to tattoo complaints
The fact that Hurley’s name cannot be seen on the tattoo at first glance has led some to believe that Ant had deliberately left it out – which has been described as a “kick in the teeth” for ex Lisa.
However, Ant cleared things up, revealing that Hurley’s name was actually on the tattoo, but it just wasn’t visible at the time due to Wilder’s head covering him in the photo baby announcement.
On Twitter, Ant wrote: “For all the dog lovers who asked why my beloved Hurley wasn’t in the family tree…he was!! It was just covered by our newborn. All my love, gratitude and sincere thanks, A.”
Ant McPartlin in ‘anxious bliss’ after birth of baby Wilder
Days after Wilder’s birth, Ant was spotted with his son and his wife.
Speaking to the Mirror, a body language expert analyzed Ant’s behavior as he pushed Wilder in the pram.
“Ant pushes this stroller with all the intense care and concentration of a man here testing a brand new high-end Porsche. His grip is so firm his knuckles seem to turn white and he looks at his new son like an obsessed, slightly anxious first-time father,” Judi James told the publication.
“At one point, he reaches back to shake Anne-Marie’s hand in his own, much more relaxed and confident, as if suddenly aware of the responsibility, excitement and pleasure of having two humans and nice dogs to take care of,” she then continued.
“With Anne-Marie holding his arm and the two dogs moving forward, Ant seems to want to show this as an idyllic family unit, looking into Anne-Marie’s eyes with a tense but wide smile.”
Ant misses his meeting with the king
Last week Dec met the King at a reception at Buckingham Palace. However, Ant was not present.
Dec later explained why his best friend wasn’t there to meet the monarch.
“I passed on an apology from Ant, who couldn’t be here today because he was breastfeeding at home,” he said.
“I don’t know if I broke royal protocol by giving this information,” he then added.
