Influencer Killadamente, who boasted 6M followers on Instagram, dead at 27

Influencer Carol Acosta, known on social media as Killadamente, has died at age 27.

Acosta’s death was confirmed by her sister, Katyan, who took to Instagram over the weekend to share a heartfelt tribute after the heartbreaking news.

“I love you sister and I will always love you,” Katyan wrote on her Instagram Story, per Daily Mail. “I give thanks to God for giving me a sister like you with your big heart. Rest in peace my sister.”

Katyan’s tribute, shared with her 130,000 followers on the platform, also included a photo of her and the Dominican-Republic born content creator smiling.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the mom of two choked on her food during a dinner with her family at a restaurant on January 3.

However, an official cause of death has yet to be released.

In a tearful follow-up post following her sister’s death, Katyan added, “To all the people who are sending me messages of condolences, I want to thank you a lot for being there and for your support. And thank you also for supporting my sister while she was still alive.”

Following the news of her death, a statement from the influencer’s family read, “On January 3 our dear Carolar better know as Killadamente passed away. The Acosta Gonzalez family shares its pain with everyone who knew her.”

“At her young age she managed to help thousands of people through her work but on this occasion we unite and ask for your help in making sure she has the farewell she deserves,” the statement continued.

“If it’s within your possibilities we would appreciate a contribution however small to help go towards funeral costs and help her family and children overcome this enormous loss.”

The social media star boasted more than 6.7 million followers on Instagram at the time of her death.

The content creator’s profile was known for spreading body positivity.

In addition to her success with social media, Killadamente released her debut song in 2017, titled “Me Amo y No Me Importa,” which translates in English to “I love myself and I don’t care.”

She leaves behind her two young daughters Reina and Legend.
