Influencer dies at age 45 of heart attack while getting a back tattoo

A beloved social media star has died at age 45 – after getting a tattoo.

Ricardo Godoi, a Brazilian automotive influencer, suffered a cardiac arrest at the start of a procedure to tattoo his entire back, it has been reported.

The tragic event reportedly occurred on January 20 at a hospital in the Brazilian state of Santa Caterina, where the wheel genius had to undergo general anesthesia before bodywork work began.

Apparently, the tattoo artist hadn’t even had a chance to start when Godoi suffered a heart attack, shortly after the sedation process began.

The late vehicle virtuoso had talked about the meeting on his news feed, telling his 225,000 fans that morning that he would be back shortly.

An Instagram post announcing the death said Godoi died at noon the same day.

A police investigation into this event is reportedly underway.

“He was quickly examined and a cardiologist was called to try to resuscitate him, unfortunately without success,” said the studio owner in a statement published by the Daily Mail.

The ink expert said he “deeply regrets” Godoi’s passing, calling him a “great friend.”

The married father has been posting about luxury cars for his avid fans. He was the CEO of his own company, Godoi Premium Group, People reported.

According to heartbroken fans, the father had recently shared videos of himself and his children playing by a swimming pool – shortly before his sad loss.

“At this moment of pain, we sympathize with the family and friends, wishing them strength and comfort to get through this irreparable loss,” we can read in the translation of the announcement of the death on Instagram. “May all those who had the privilege of meeting him remember Ricardo Godoi with affection and respect.”
