Indigo, Delta Air Lines, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic announce the partnership to link the Indian economy with rapid growth with North America and Europe

Indigo, Delta Air Lines, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic have today announced its intention to build a cutting-edge partnership connecting India with Europe and North America, with ambitions to grow on a global scale.

India, one of the fastest growth aviation markets in the world, is at the heart of this collaboration. By connecting the vast national network of Indigo with Delta’s strength in North America and the transatlantic, the extensive scope of Air France-KLM in Europe and North America, and the United Kingdom and the transatlantic presence of Virgin Atlantic, the partnership is about to offer wider travelers, smooth journeys and a more coherent experience through continents. By connecting dozens of cities in the United States, Canada, Europe and India, airlines aim to meet the growing demand for international travel while establishing new standards of connectivity and cooperation in global aviation.

Connection of route networks, 2022 and beyond

Indigo has partnerships with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic and with Air France-KLM since 2022. Since then, Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic Customers have access to more than 30 Indigo points in India.

More recently, Indigo has announced the start of service in Europe, which, in addition to extending the existing partnership with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic Transatlantic Flights, facilitates a new partnership opportunity between Indigo and Delta, allowing Indigo customers to connect offshore Delta. For its part, the new recently announced road from KLM connecting Amsterdam to Hyderabad offers other cooperation opportunities with Indigo. With the launch of the itinerary in September 2025, Air France-KLM will begin to sell indigo flights around 24 destinations beyond Hyderabad.

Indigo previously announced that it would improve its B787 fleet rented to six planes later this year and set up a long-term firm order of 30 Airbus A350-900 planes, with options for 70 others. While these planes join the Indigo fleet, the long-haul expansion of the airline will allow more in-depth and deeper cooperation between Indigo and Delta, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic in the future.
