The confrontation would have taken place during a mediation session at the police station, where the two parties had gathered to discuss their current legal dispute. Hooda later said that he was injured in the assault and accused Boora, as well as his father and his maternal uncle, of using abusive language and of using physical violence before the police. The couple got married in 2022.

“During the interrogation, my wife and his father began to use a hard language. They attacked me physically in the presence of cops, and I received two injuries. His maternal uncle Satyawan also accompanied them,” said Hooda.
