India has decided that any future act of terror will be considered an “act of war” against the country and will be answered accordingly, a decision that aligns the zero tolerance of the government of Narendra Modi for terrorism, official sources said on Saturday.
The decision has a warning for Pakistan against support for terrorist strikes in the country and reminds Islamabad a possible strike on the scale of “the Sindoor operation” in the event of mishap in the future.
The insistence reported by Prime Minister Modi to treat all future terrorism strikes as “war acts” was approved by senior military officials and the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh at a meeting earlier during the day.
