India saw a single-day rise of more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases after 129 days, while active cases jumped to 5,915, according to Union Health Ministry data released. updated Sunday.
A total of 1,071 new cases were reported in the county in 24 hours, while the death toll rose to 5, 30,802 with the latest three fatalities – one each reported in Rajasthan and Maharashtra and one reconciled in Kerala.
According to ministry data updated as of 8 a.m., the number of infections stands at 4.46 crore (4,46,95,420).
