Manolo Marquez would be ready to leave the role of head coach of the Indian football team in June, but he still has at least two games to go. The Spaniard appointed a probable team of 28 members for the camp of the Indian football team in Kolkata on Wednesday.
The Indian football team is expected to face Thailand in an international friendly, then Hong Kong on June 10 in the FIFA international window. The match against Hong Kong at Kai Tak Sports Park in Kowloon City will be India’s next game in the Asia 2027 AFC 2027 Cup.
There is information that Marquez is struggling to continue as a head coach of the Indian football team in the midst of the administrative problems of the All Indian Football Federation (AIFF) and his love for club football. FC Goa coach would be ready to continue the Indian Super League club (ISL) and will leave the national team position after the match on June 10.
Nevertheless, he will supervise the camp of the national team, which will start on May 18 in Kolkata while they are preparing for the final qualifications of the Asia 2027 AFC Asian Cup. India is placed in group C, with Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Singapore China.
Only the group’s winner will qualify for the AFC 2027 Asia Cup. Currently, all the teams are on one point each after a match.
India’s first match in the qualifying final took place in Shillon against Bangladesh, which ended with a poor draw.

Sunil Chhetri, 40, continues to be part of the national team after reversing their retirement.
