A violent accident occurred this Saturday, December 3, around 4:45 p.m., on the Departmental 13, between Bourg-Blanc and Lannilis, near the place called Kerven, in Plouvien.

For reasons still undetermined, a collision pitted a Peugeot 306 traveling in the direction of Bourg-Blanc and a Dacia Sandero arriving in the opposite direction. A third vehicle, a Renault Capture then hit the Dacia.

Three dead and five injured

The toll of the accident is dramatic. The three young men occupying 306 are deceased. As of 7 p.m., they had not yet been formally identified. The three passengers of the Dacia (a 61 year old man, a 59 year old woman and another 36 year old) are seriously injured but their life prognosis would not be engaged. They were transported to the Cavale Blanche hospital in Brest. As for the two people on board the Capture, only one was injured, a 22-year-old woman. She was taken to the Keraudren clinic in Brest.

The accident generated a major deployment of gendarmerie and rescue resources. In total, in addition to the Smur, eleven fire engines, including seven ambulances, from the barracks of Brest, Lannilis, Plouguerneau, Landerneau and Plabennec, were dispatched to the scene.

At 7 p.m., traffic was still cut off in both directions, with no visibility on a reopening schedule.
