Russia has marked 80 years since the victory of the Soviet Union against Nazi Germany in the Second World War on Friday with a large military parade in the Red Square.
Joined by more than two dozen foreign leaders, President Vladimir Putin supervised the parade of more than 11,000 Russian soldiers and security services. 1,500 other soldiers who fought in the invasion of Ukraine appeared. The soldiers of “friendly nations” also participated in the event.
