HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) — Beginning Thursday, there will be a pause in in-person visits to Pennsylvania state prisons. Officials say that due to COVID-19-related issues among staff, the halt to in-person visits will last until Feb. 28.
As a result, free video tours will be extended and cable TV in inmate cells will be free next month.
While about 90% of inmates are fully vaccinated, authorities say, among state prison staff, barely half are fully vaccinated.
