Today, the jurors of the Diddy trial have heard graphic testimony of a woman identified only by the pseudonym “Mia. “She is one of the former personal assistants of Diddy – and one of the four alleged victims at the heart of the American government’s indictment against the hip -hop magnate.
In excruciating detail, Mia told Juries that Diddy had sexually assaulted her on several occasions and describes an atmosphere of work which was “chaotic” and “toxic” but also exhilarating. “Puff’s mood has determined the environment,” she said, using one of the accused’s previous stage names. Mia said that Diddy had sometimes treated her as an equal, other times as “a piece of shit without value”.
Diddy is not accused of MIA sex traffic. But his allegations of forced work are part of the accusation of conspiracy of the government’s racketeering against the rapper, who, according to the prosecutors, said orchestrated a “criminal enterprise” which covers decades. He pleaded not guilty of all accusations.
Here’s how today’s testimony took place:
In the first half of the day, Mia answered questions calmly and quietly. But after the lunch break, Mia became more and more emotional.
She seemed to be on the verge of lining up and had trouble catching her breath by describing Diddy’s stormy relationship with Cassie. She broke down by crying, telling Diddy forced herself to her sexually. She cried on the stand when she explained how “terrified and trapped” she was as a victim of her alleged assaults, barely speaking above a whisper.
Mia frequently threw her eyes down, letting her hair fall on her face. The hours of testimony seemed deeply painful to him.
Tomorrow:: “MIA” should return to the witnesses.
