Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi granted bail in different cases

Former Pakistani Prime Minister and PTI leader Imran Khan has been released on bail by an Islamabad anti-terrorism court in eight cases related to violence at the court complex, while his wife, Bushra Bibi, has been granted bail in the Al Qadir Trust case.
Imran Khan’s bail has been extended until June 8 and Bushra Bibi has been released on bail until May 31. Earlier in the day, she filed a plea with the court, asking for bail to prevent her arrest by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The PTI chief is also expected to appear before the NAB in Islamabad later today in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Imran Khan and his wife first appeared in the Court of Accounts to seek a protective bond for Bushra Bibi, whose bail in the corruption case expired on May 23, to avoid his arrest just in case.
The court approved his release on bail until May 31 against bonds worth PKR 500,000.
The two later proceeded to an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) – located in the same court complex as the Accountability Court – where the former prime minister’s lawyer filed for bail, reported GeoNews.
